On Mother’s Day 2020, I posted a compilation video on TikTok of Grey saying ‘thank you, mama’. It was lighthearted and fun and just a way to fill our days during quarantine. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would lead us here, sharing a project that I’ve been working on for the last 500+ days — my very first children’s book 😭

I am overwhelmed with gratitude, happiness, excitement, fear, I have major imposter syndrome, and I also feel like I need to throw up LOL. But despite how nervous and undeserving I feel, I absolutely cannot wait for you guys to read it. Grey very cautiously and deliberately picked out every item of food shown in the book, and I hope it inspires you and your kiddos to discover your own favorite foods.

“Thank You, Mama” is everything that I dreamt it would be. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share our culture of food and gratitude, while also honoring Rambo and Ngoai.
